Warranty Agreement

XtraPower Batteries Inc. warranties from the date of receipt against failure to deliver 80% of the 6 hour rated capacity tested under supervision and according to published standards due to defective materials or workmanship in their;

ReConditioned® and ReGenerated® industrial batteries for a period of:
12 months/300 cycles to 24 months/600 cycles.
(*whichever occurs first, dependant on warranty program chosen at time of purchase)

New 5 to 7 plate industrial batteries for a period of: 36 months/900 cycles.
(*whichever occurs first)

New 9 or more plate industrial batteries for a period of:
60 months/1500 cycles to 84 months/2100 cycles.
(*whichever occurs first, dependant on warranty program chosen at time of purchase)

A “Cycle” as defined by XtraPower Batteries Inc. is a battery that is discharged to 25% of its capacity, properly watered, fully charged, and rested.

Terms and Conditions:

1. In the event of a warranty issue the defect must be reported to XtraPower Batteries Inc. within 15 days from the time it is discovered.
2. Batteries are to be limited to one cycle charge and discharge within a twenty-four (24) hour day of no more than 80% of the rated capacity, and no more than 300 cycles per calendar year.
3. Each battery is to be charged on an approved and properly sized charger that meets or exceeds the latest Standards, for industrial truck chargers. Chargers are required to have the proper capacity rating, voltage and charging start and finish rates to completely recharge the battery to specified specific gravity before subsequent discharge. Recharging must occur during the twenty-four hour, per Note 2 above.
4. Maintenance and cycle records shall be kept in accordance to manufacturer's guidelines. Such records must be submitted to XtraPower Batteries Inc, at the time of the warranty claim in order to qualify for protection under the warranty requirements.
5. Sufficient water and electrolyte levels must be maintained in each cell at all times. The addition of acid or other additives voids this warranty.
6. The battery must be correctly cycled, maintained, equalized charged at least once per 10 cycles and never left in a semi- discharged state for more than a period of 15 consecutive days.
7. This warranty is void should electrolyte temperatures be in excess of 115°F, or below 50°F.
8. This warranty is void should it be determined that any battery(s) has been modified, abused, misused, or damaged by anything other than by normal use.
9. This warranty is void should repairs be performed by anyone other than XtraPower Batteries Inc, or one of its designated service representatives.
10. This warranty applies to the original owner only and is non-transferrable.
11. This warranty is not applicable and void for batteries used in heavy-duty applications such as, but not limited to mill, foundry, and forging operations.
12. Specific Gravities and Open Circuit Voltages of the battery (after charge), photos of battery and its serial number and proof of purchase must be provided to XtraPower Batteries Inc. in order for the warranty process to begin.

XtraPower Batteries Inc. or its authorized service representative must be given access during regular business hours to the battery and its maintenance records.

XtraPower Batteries Inc will repair the battery at its expense for labor and parts within 60 days of its discovery date. Any freight charges in all circumstances are the responsibility of the purchaser.

The repaired or replacement battery shall complete the remaining portion of the warranty for the original battery. XtraPower Batteries Inc. retains the right to have the battery returned and prorate the warranty. The calculation is based on the original purchase price of the battery multiplied by the number of unexpired warranty months and divided by the total number of warranty months. A credit will be issued and can only be applied to the purchaser’s XtraPower Batteries Inc. account.

The above stated warranty will be considered null and void if any or all of the above stated conditions are not adhered to.

This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied. The user shall indemnify and hold XtraPower Batteries Inc. harmless from any claims and liabilities arising out of use, maintenance, transportation or installation of any equipment warranted herein. XtraPower Batteries Inc. makes no warranty or merchantability for a particular purpose and in no event shall XtraPower Batteries Inc. be liable for special indirect, punitive or consequential damages. Any Liability will be limited to the purchase price of the item.


Claims Made Easy - Simple steps for Warranties purchased from XtraPower Batteries.

Please refer to the conditions outlined in the XtraPower Batteries Warranty Agreement and fill out the Warranty Claim Form and email it to info@xpb.ca to request service. Depending on the nature of your claim, we will either send an authorized technician to evaluate your battery or send you directly to the warranty claims department for further action. A warranty representative will follow-up with a decision about your claim.

When making a claim, please keep the following in mind:

  • -  [1] In the event of a warranty issue the defect must be reported to XtraPower Batteries Inc. within 15

    days from the time it is discovered.

  • -  [2] Limited to 1 warranty event.

  • -  [3] Your redemption credit is available for up to 90 days after the expiration of the warranty period and

    are only available if no claims were made during the warranty period. The redemption offer has no cash

    value, and amounts not redeemed within the 90-day period will be forfeited.

  • -  [4] If an asset is damaged in transit the receiver must not sign for goods and refuse shipment.

  • -  [5] Please provide your proof of purchase; your claim cannot be processed without it.

    In the event of an issue during the warranty period or If your product requires more than three functional repairs we will send you a comparable replacement battery at no charge.


XtraPower Batteries Return Policy:

Any battery that needs to be returned for a reason not related to a warranty issue (ex: incorrect battery ordered, no longer needed, etc) will be subject to a 15% restocking fee, and the customer will be responsible for the freight - this does not apply to any shipments damaged during transit, see below. All returns must be initiatiated within 2 weeks of receipt of the product, to be eligible for the return process. We strongly recommend ensuring that you verify that you are have selected the correct battery prior to placing an order, to avoid such charges and fees.

For any products that are damaged during shipping, we will send out replacements at no extra cost, however a note must be made on the BOL (Bill of Lading) when the damaged shipment was attempted to be delivered, and the shipment must be refused. Any pictures that can be taken of the shipment as proof of the damage are also appreciated and will speed along the process, but are not a requirement. Failure to refuse the shipment and./or note the paperwork that it was received damaged will make the shipment ineligible for a claim with the freight company that performed the delivery, and there may be charges as a result.
