Our New batteries are made in the USA, and are built with a tubular design to ensure efficiency. Each new battery ships with a promise of long lasting, dependable power, and comes standard with a 5 year warranty.
Powerful Reconditioned Batteries
Our Reconditioned Batteries go through a thorough 18-stage process to ensure that they meet our highest expectations. All batteries are cleaned, neutralized, sanded and repainted prior to shipping. They come with new vent caps, shrouds and cables, and are guaranteed to have a minimum rated capacity of 85%.
Working Towards A Sustainable Future
More than 35% of all the scrap batteries we process are returned to market as 5 hour rated reconditioned batteries. XtraPower Batteries prevented upwards of 6 million pounds of lead from being smelted in 2008 alone.

While a lot of companies try to churn out cheap batteries as fast as they can, you often find that within a year or two they fail, the welds will break, and the cables can even fall off. Making sure that something like this will never happen to one of our batteries has always, and always will be, the thing I devote the most attention to."

Since 2007 XtraPower Batteries has been our choice for train battery reconditioning, we have periodically sent them batteries that were no longer able to hold their charge and function properly. Due to their technology and expertise they have successfully brought back to life over 40 batteries in the last two years. These batteries are doing very well in our locomotives, whenever we have a battery in need we send it to XtraPower’s facility for testing. We have not yet had a warranty issue on any of these batteries. Fantastic service. Frederic was extremely helpful in answering any and all questions we had. They handled all over the shipping requirements, and sent us all paperwork needed to have a quick and easy pickup. We had a challenging situation - our forklift's battery was a particular style (has a built in cover) that was not commonly available. Most places I reached out to never even responded back. Upon reaching Xtra Power, they offered an easy solution - rebuild our battery, using a refurbished core and keeping our case intact with the cover. This came in at a surprisingly lower cost than expected, and was the best plan. The turn around time was fast, and the battery works perfectly; Better than it has in years.
