How Is Our Regen Service Unique Compared To What Other Repair Services Battery Companies Offer?
Typically when a lead-acid battery stops functioning properly, it is due to excessive sulphation in several cells, causing them to cease to function properly - resulting in what the industry calls "bad cells". The most obvious solution to this is to simply replace these bad cells with new ones, for typically 300 - 400$ each - and this is what virtually every Battery company will do, other than XtraPower. While this will solve the issue in the short-term, and your battery will resume normal operation, it does not address the issue of sulphation in all the other cells of the battery - which will inevitably suffer the exact same issues as the cells that were replaced, often within just a few months. As well, incompatibility issues with new cells in an old battery will often arise, with the new cells driving the old ones to run much harder than previously to keep up - killing the old cells even faster!

So How Does It Work?
When a Lead-Acid Battery is discharged, the sulphuric acid in the electrolyte is drawn to the lead plates - this creates Lead Sulphate PbSO4.
Over time, sulphate crystals and oxides begin to form on both the negative and positive plates, causing the battery to lose it's ability to accept or emit any effect. The clutter of crystals on the plates create resistance to the charge, and causes the battery to heat up excessively as a result. This is the primary reason for battery failure. Batteries left for extended periods of time with this issue can show external signs, such as a white susbstance known as corrosion, and if left untreated, will eventually ruin the cells & cause your battery to cease to function, rendering your lift unoperational.
Our Regen 2000 technology is designed to specifically target this issue, and over 72 hours, it removes the build up from the plates, and recycles it with the electrolyte. As a result, your battery is able to revert back to being fully functional.
Regen Technology Performance Chart:
The decline in capacity for a battery begins in the first year of operation. As the plates become more and more saturated with sulphate crystals, the decline becomes much more noticeable.
Generally, in the fifth or sixth year, there is too much clutter on the plates inside the cells of your battery, and the current can no longer be successfully transferred. Battery capacity can drop by up to 50%, and within one year the battery will need to be replaced due to extensive damage to the cells.
Our Regen service can prevent this irreversible damage by cleaning the plates before any of this will occur - extending the life of the battery by 80 - 100%.
When the Regen is performed frequently in 2 year intervals, the life of the battery can be extended more then 5 times - avoiding the unnecessary cost of purchasing a new battery each time. Our technology has proven that batteries that have been restored using this method can operate for more than 7000 cycles - when a typical brand new battery will die and need to replaced after 1200 cycles. That is literally five times the life expentancy for your battery.
Also included:
When batteries undergo our Regen Service, they are also fully washed, neutralized, sanded and re-painted. This is performed to further protect the battery by removing any sulphate crustals that form on the outside of the battery - which will lead to corrosion of the steel casing. Your battery will also get a full complement of new replacement caps & shrouds, and any damaged cables, SB connectors or intercell connectors will be replaced as well.
